Politicizing An Horrific Tragedy

Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is in intensive care unit following surgery for a gunshot wound in the head at close range by a liberal lone heartless gunman.

While the shooter was a lone criminal, liberals are coming out of the woodworks to pin the shooting on no other than Governor Palin for targeting 20 house democrates during the 2010 mid-term elections. Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas Tweeted, “Mission accomplished, Sarah Palin.”  Matt Lewis notes:

If your first response to such an event is to think of Sarah Palin, something is wrong.

It is a sad state of affairs when a tragedy gets politicized, unfortunately some on the left have no shame in doing so and as a result we are left with no alternative but to correct the record.

It is ironic that it’s no other than the far left Daily Kos who are pushing this blame Palin narrative when it was just 2 days ago when the Daily Kos indirectly called for the death of congreswomen Giffords.

On January 6th the Daily Kos had an article titled My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me. The post has now been removed.

The targeting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords by the Daily Kos goes back to June 2008 when they placed a Bullseye on Rep Giffords:

In 2004 the Democrats had a “Targeting Map” of their own, as it turns out Arizona just so happens to be one of their targets.

Reports are still coming in but from information already available the shooter is a 22-year-old white male named Jared Loughner a nut who on his YouTube channel lists Mein Kampf and Communist Manifesto as his favourite books.

User @caitieparker on twitter claims to know the shooter, according to her, Loughner is a redical liberal, following are some of her latest tweets:

Unlike the Daily Kos, we are not trying to blame anyone for the shooting, it is obvious that the gunman is a crazy nut who didn’t need any encouragement to carry out this senseless and unconscionable act. Rep Giffords is Jewish and this may well turn out to be racially motivated, but people need to take a step back and stop using a tragic event to advance their political agendas. Our message to the Dialy Kos: People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones
