A new set of stamps is being issued to celebrate Prince William’s marriage to Kate Middleton on April 29.

Royal Mail’s stamps will show the couple’s official engagement portraits taken by photographer Mario Testino.

His casual picture of the couple will go on a first-class stamp, with the more formal image on a £1.10 stamp.

The stamps will be available for sale on the Queen’s birthday on April 21.

The commemorative stamps are the first to be issued to mark the wedding of one of the Queen’s grandchildren.

“We are honoured to be celebrating this very special and historic occasion,” said Royal Mail’s Stephen Agar.

“We believe that that this set of stamps will be very popular with people both in the UK and around the world.”
