Hunt On For Royal Couple Lookalikes

Eastbourne Herald

Eastbourne, UK is organising a search for the best William and Kate lookalikes to celebrate the final countdown to the Royal Wedding.

Those who think they bear a resemblance to either Prince William or Kate Middleton are being encouraged to submit their photographs via email or upload directly to the VisitEastbourne facebook page for the chance to be crowned King and Queen lookalike at the Eastbourne Royal Wedding event.

On April 29, residents and visitors are invited to watch the nuptials on a giant screen in Princes Park, followed by games and live music.

And organiser Eastbourne Borough Council wants the best Wills and Kate doubles to come along.

Eastbourne Borough Council events development manager Mike Marchant said, “We are very excited to celebrate the Royal Wedding here in Eastbourne.

“We are already marking the occasion with a huge screening and entertainment, so to find our very own Prince William and Kate Middleton would just be the icing on the cake.

“The LTA is offering a pair of tickets to the Legends event at the AEGON International Tennis Championships to the best doubles so it’s a great opportunity to be King and Queen for the day and to enjoy a day out at Eastbourne’s world renowned tennis tournament later this summer.”

The best Prince William and Kate Middleton lookalikes will be invited to receive their crowns at Princes Park next Friday and will each receive a pair of tickets to the new Tennis Legends event, which is part of the AEGON International at Devonshire Park in June.

Those interested in entering should email their photos to competitions@eastbourne.gov.uk or upload them to the VisitEastbourne page on facebook at www.facebook.com/visiteastbourne

A gallery will be added to receive comments on the best resemblances.

The Princes Park event is free and will be open from 10am to 6pm.
