This morning on Fox & Friends, Clayton Morris had Democrat Ellis Cose, Republican Strategist Ford O’Connel, who worked for the McCain/Palin campaign in 2008 and Amy Siskind of The New Agenda.
Ellis Cose goes with the usual media talking points; Palin is yesterday’s news, polarizing, her numbers are low… etc… the usual stuff you’de expect from a democrat who spends most of his time trying to explain to the world how irrelevant Governor Palin is but can’t stop talking about her. I’m not even going to bother rebutting him.
Ford O’Connel, while saying that Governor Palin will have to work hard, says that the bottom line with Governor Palin is that with her you never know, she’s a tireless campaigner and she could do very well in Iowa. In other words don’t underestimate her.
Amy Siskind makes an interesting point, something that I’ve never really heard any one make. Siskind argues that contrary to what the media and the left try to tell us, Governor Palin is the only candidate in the GOP field that can actually unite the country and bring people together and is the only one who can actually deliver solutions. She says that if you look at Palin’s record as Governor she was able to explain to the people what needs to be done and then was able to bring both sides together to work together. “Palin is a different type of leader at a time when the country is looking for a different type of leader”
Cose actually concedes that it’s an interesting argument.
Watch the video:
Sarah Palin has a unique style and a unique talent to foster cooperation that I dont think anybody else in the GOP field does …
…Americans now are looking for solutions. There is… two people I think that can deliver solutions, one of them is Sarah Palin because I think if she comes into office she’s a different type of leader than anybody else in the GOP field, based on what she did as Governor. Where she was able to explain to the people of her state what was needed, which is clearly something our leaders are not doing, and then she was able to get both sides to work together. There is nobody else in the GOP field that’s been able to to that.
Thank you so much for this video. Great to see someone with respect for Gov. Palin and can think outside the inside the beltway view of politics.
Nice video. When I hear random insults like “she’s yesterday’s news” when all they do is talk about her, you know that Perry isn’t the one that Democrats are scared of, it’s Sarah Palin.
Right ON Amy!!! Proud to have you as my FaceBook Friend!! PUMA W00T!!
Unbeleiveable …only amy has a clue whats coming…!
lol
That’s like saying despite the terrible job Obama has done, Americans believe in second chances.
Maybe they think if they say “she’s yesterday’s news” enough times, it will come true.
I have been following Amy on Twitter and she has always the smartest things to say. She is totally clued in with what is going on in the country. She is A Dem I believe and a Hillary supporter.
Somebody forgot to tell the press and the people at The Iowa State Fair, didn’t look like yesterday’s news to me.
It’s always interesting to observe the views of the informed versus those who choose to be misinformed. Makes it easy to evaluate who speaks the truth.
of course…. it amazes me how palin was scrutinzied so much over the last three years on everything but her record of getting things done in Alaska… working with Democrats when it was needed.
when she talks about public service, she actully means it and people are so used to politicians being bull crap artists that they did not see what is so evident with everything she has done in her public life.
Right on , Amy!!
Great Vid….thanks!!! I’m pretty sure she is going to run and if she does it will clean out the field in very short order. I was so impressed with her Iowa Fair interview with Sean Hannity. Very impressive, intelligent, enthusiastic and photogenic!!! Nuff Said!!!
Ellis Cose, you are as transparent as a roll of cling wrap. You think Sarah Palin’s numbers are low? Have ya checked out your dear leader’s most recent approval rating according to Gallup?
Love your work, Amy, thank you!
