Behind the Belz Women Driving Ban

Unless you’ve been buried in a cave somewhere, you have surly heard the entire national media go overboard with the story about a how an Orthodox Jewish sect in London has supposedly “banned” women from driving and oppress women in general.  This is the inside story: (Note: Some paragraphs in this post have been adapted from other posts […]

Driven To Distraction: An Open Letter From An Orthodox Jewish Woman On The Driving Ban

I usually tend to avoid getting into debates about the cultural values of the Orthodox way of life. We live our lives to a certain standard, which is oft times difficult to explain to those who are not part of our community. I may engage in a light-hearted discussion, but for the most part, I […]

Women And The Orthodox Jewish Culture

The Case For Jon Huntsman

But when you look beyond the superficial and look deep into the substance, Jon Huntsman’s record is quite compelling. I don’t agree with him on everything. In fact, I disagree with him on many issues, but to his credit, he is upfront with the issues I do disagree with him and he doesn’t try to spin it. That should score him some points right there. When it comes to fiscal issues he’s got a solid good conservative record.

2012: The Year Capitalism “Declares Its Independence”

2012 may be the year where investors take the attitude they should have taken a long time ago:  “We’re going to jump in and do what  we have to do and let the chips fall where they may.” 2012 may be the year capitalism “declares its independence.”  2012 could be the year capitalism makes a come-back in spite of everything the Obama adminstration does or does not do.

Newt Gingrich For President

Newt Gingrich is a man of ideas, is smart, has solutions, knows how the world works, and has leadership qualities. No one can argue that Gingrich is not qualified to be president.  I can see Gingrich in the situation room making tough decisions without needing 16 hours to adjust or calculate how it will affect him politically. A President Gingrich would be feared by dictators and respected by our allies.
